How does Locale’s meal service work?
Pick plan and choose meals
Pick a 4-12 meal plan and select your meals by Friday at 5pm. You can skip or cancel anytime. New meals added each week from top Bay Area restaurants.
We deliver on Mondays
Meals are delivered in a reusable tote with ice packs. Our airtight, Fresh Seal packaging keeps meals fresh all week.
Microwave and enjoy
No cooking is required. Remove from fridge and microwave for 1-2 minutes. Our meal packaging is compostable!
Frequently asked questions
Is Locale a subscription? Will I be charged every week?
We are a subscription service, however you can easily skip a week, pause, or cancel your account at any time. You won’t be charged for weeks that you skip. Just be sure to skip before our Friday 5pm order cutoff.
How long do meals stay fresh for?
Our airtight Fresh Seal packaging keeps meals for 5-7 days after delivery. Just store meals in your fridge and microwave when you’re hungry.
What if I don’t skip a week or choose my meals?
We'll text & email you with reminders to choose meals or skip by Friday at 5pm so that you don’t forget. If you’re not able to choose meals, we’ll choose meals for you based on meal preferences that you select.
When do you deliver and what if I’m not home to receive my delivery?
We deliver on Mondays. You can choose 9am - 6pm or 3pm - 6pm (for those who work in person on Mondays). We’ll text you with updates to track your order when it’s on the way. Orders are delivered in insulated bags with ice packs so they can stay outside for up to 4 hours after delivery.
How do I see ingredients and nutritional information?
You can click on any meal to see all ingredients as well as calories, fat, protein, carbs, and sodium in each meal.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Yes! The insulated tote bags and ice packs are reusable. You can leave them outside before your next delivery and we’ll take them back for reuse :) Meals all arrive in compostable containers.

How do Locale meals stay fresh all week long?
Meals are produced on Sunday, then our Fresh Seal packaging system removes extra oxygen and seals meals with an
airtight film. This ensures that your food doesn’t get contaminated or oxidize throughout the week — ensuring
that meals stay fresh and tasty all week long.
