Papalote Mexican Grill opened its doors on February 17, 1999 in the heart of the San Francisco. In 2010 Chef Bobby Flay challenged Papalote to a burrito throwdown on his show "Throwdown! with Bobby Flay". The icing on the cake was being crowned the winners of the Throwdown! Chef Flay was very gracious and he even went on to praise their beloved house salsa and proclaim it “the secret weapon”!
